We see government as an entity that is established to protect the rights of its citizens, provide only those essential services that are beneficial to its citizens as a whole, and support those services within a reasonable tax structure.
Mission Statement
Westbrook Republican Town Committee’s mission is to advocate and practice the following Republican values:
- Uphold all individual rights granted in the US Constitution.
- Independence
- Honesty
- Justice
Our mission is to seek out potential candidates who support our values and recruit them for available offices at both the local and state level. We will carry out our mission by seeking only those candidates who uphold our values, and supporting them through attending caucuses, fund raising, and attending candidate focused events.
We will also actively seek others who uphold our values, invite them to join us and help carry on our mission.
Functions:
The functions of the Westbrook Republican Town Committee:
- encourage capable Republicans to run for office.
- participate in party caucuses and/or conventions.
- support and elect qualified Republicans to office.
- inform Westbrook Republicans of pending local or state legislation that concerns Westbrook.
- provide recommendations for improvements to Westbrook.
- generate, administer, and distribute party funds.
- submit the required periodic reports to the State Elections Commission.
